Here is the latest Minnesota sports from The AP

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The Minnesota Twins have wrapped up a home
series against Texas with a 6-5 win over the Rangers that included
a bizarre ending. The final out yesterday came when Texas third
base coach Dave Anderson was called for interfering with runner
Michael Young, who appeared to tap hands with Anderson as he ran
around third.

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) - Minnesota Vikings coach Brad
Childress says backup Tarvaris Jackson would give the team the best
chance to win if Brett Favre went down. Childress is defending his
decision to keep Jackson and trade Sage Rosenfels, who had better
statistics than Jackson in the preseason.

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) - Percy Harvin is slated as the
Vikings' kick returner when they open the regular season at New
Orleans on Thursday night. Bernard Berrian and Greg Camarillo will
split punt return duties.

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) - Vikings quarterback Brett Favre is
downplaying the beating he endured against the New Orleans Saints
in the NFC title game last season. He says taking hits is part of
football. The Saints say they'll be just as aggressive against
Minnesota on Thursday.
