Sioux Falls police review teen arrest over excessive force
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) – Sioux Falls police chief said his department won’t release any video footage from police cameras while they review the arrest of a juvenile that was caught on a social media video over the weekend and criticized for excessive use of force. Officers were responding to a call for an alleged assault in downtown Sioux Falls when the arrest happened. Videos on social media drew accusations that officers had used excessive force when arresting 17-year-old driver Janaisa Williams. The videos show officers dragged her out of the car, forced her to the ground and put a knee on her neck.
