Two Dead Following 2-vehicle crash near Harrisburg

Two people died Saturday as the result of a crash in Lincoln County just South of Harrisburg.

According to the Department of Public Safety, at around 10:15 a.m., a Ford F-250 was driving south on Highway 115 while a Toyota Camry was traveling east on 276th Street.

When the Camry entered the intersection, it collided with the Ford.

Both the 79-year-old man and 79-year-old woman in the Camry were pronounced dead at the scene.

The 59-year-old male driver of the Ford did not receive any injuries.

A Dakota News Now photographer on the scene said the roads were closed off in the area after the crash.

The names of those involved have not yet been released, pending family notification.

South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating this incident.
